A New Parisian Spot Open All Day

In the heart of the 8th arrondissement, just a few steps from La Madeleine, Le Break is the Hôtel Alfred Sommier’s newest venue. Housed in the former stables of the mansion on Rue de l’Arcade, this Parisian restaurant and café welcomes both hotel guests and neighborhood regulars.

Open from breakfast through the evening, Le Break offers something for every moment of the day: a Parisian breakfast in the morning, house-made dishes for lunch, a gourmet afternoon break, and Happy Hour in the evening.

A restaurant in a stately home

Le Break is steeped in the history of Alfred Sommier and his private mansion, built in 1860. Its name refers to old horse-drawn carriages, whose world inspired the restaurant’s decor.
Antique wood paneling, herringbone parquet flooring, decorative paintings, a working fireplace, and a large solid-oak counter topped with red marble create a warm and unique atmosphere. A three-meter bas-relief depicting Alfred Sommier driving his carriage recalls the history of the establishment.

For lunch, Le Break offers its signature croque-monsieur made with country bread, a focaccia with candied vegetables, and desserts that evoke the flavors of childhood.
Come happy hour, draft beers, drinks to share, and local specialties take center stage amid a lively musical atmosphere.
On nice days, guests can also enjoy the main courtyard or the tables set up on Rue de l’Arcade. DJ sets, parties, and private events add to the venue’s vibrant atmosphere.
