Focus on the career of the artist
George Lepauw is a Franco-American concert pianist who recently returned to his native Paris after living in the United States. He devotes much of his time to ambitious recording and documentary projects that are close to his heart: « l’intégrale du Clavier bien-tempéré de Jean-Sébastien Bach, les Variations Diabelli de Beethoven, et l’intégrale des Préludes pour piano de Claude Debussy », which will be released in stores in the fall of 2022 on the occasion of the composer's 160th birthday. These projects are being released on the English label Orchid Classics, distributed by Naxos. His Bach48 boxed set, released in 2020, has received the best reviews from the specialist journals, including the BBC Music Magazine, which gave it 5 stars, and about which ClassicFM writes that it contains "exceptional recordings." He is now preparing to record the complete 32 « Sonates de Beethoven », and in parallel, a series of discs devoted to the music of the French 18th century.
